Besa was born in Tetovo on October 31st 1981. She has completed her BA, MA and PhD studies in the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus”, at the “St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje. She graduated as the best student of her generation having finished her BA studies one year earlier than her colleagues. She defended her MA thesis and PhD dissertation under the supervision of Academic Vlado Kambovski. Her MA thesis (defended on July 2006) is titled “Mutual legal assistance in criminal matters” whereas her PhD dissertation (defended on October 2010) is titled “Victim’s position in criminal law”.
On March 2004 she started working as a junior assistant in the Faculty of Law, South East European University in Tetovo gaining her Assistant Professor title in April 2011 and her Associate Professor title in June 2016.
